Genshin Impact Version 4.8 – “Summertide Scales and Tales”, has been announced to arrive on July 17. A brand-new summer map, Simulanka, new skins for Nilou and Kirara, and a new 5-star character in Emilie.
Welcome to Simulanka
Simulanka is a realm populated by origami creatures and clockwork figures. Players embark on a journey with Kirara, Nilou, and Navia to uncover mysteries and confront impending crises. Alongside this journey are seasonal events in which players will be able to obtain Starsail Coins to draw for a multitude of figurines with diverse gestures.
- “Boreal Flurry” lets you can shoot balloons while enjoying an aerial experience overlooking Simulanka,
- “Flying Hatter’s Trick” invites travelers to capture as many moving toy figures as possible in the claw-machine-like game.
- “Metropole Trials” has players assemble two teams of characters to take on the combat challenges.
Kirara’s new phantom burglar-themed outfit is acquired by accumulating “Excerpts of Bliss” as they collect “Jubilant Feathers” and open “Fairytale Troves” around Simulanka. Meanwhile, Nilou’s new floral-themed outfit will be available at a limited-time discount in the store.
Genshin Impact Version 4.8 brings optimizations to the Encounter Point System, allowing players to store points for claiming Daily Commission rewards at their convenience. The cooldown for World Bosses has been significantly reduced, enhancing gameplay flow and Resin management. It also introduces the “Echo” feature, enhancing character movements with unique trailing effects, obtained through challenges in the Imaginarium Theater. Players will be able to obtain Echoes for Diluc, Qiqi, Kirara, Jean and Ningguang by completing the “Envisaged Echoes” challenges in the Imaginarium Theater lobby.
The newest character is Emilie, a 5-star Dendro polearm user. Emilie’s combat revolves around the “Lumidouce Case,” dealing enhanced damage to Burning enemies. Dive into her Story Quest, “Pomum de Ambra Chapter,” uncovering her role as a forensic cleaner and the mystery of the “Auguste” flower.
