Genshin Impact 5.0 “Flowers Resplendent on the Sun-Scorched Sojourn,” will be available on August 28. Players will be able to reach the sixth major nation of Teyvat, Natlan, and ally with the warriors of the region, including Kachina, Kinich, and Mualani, as well as the Saurians of Natlan. In addition, numerous rewards will be given out in celebration of Genshin Impact’s 4th Anniversary!
Natlan
Genshin Impact’s Version 5.0 introduces players to the fiery and fierce nation of Natlan. As the Nation of Pyro, Natlan is characterized by its vibrant culture and intense spirit of warfare. To gain access to Natlan, players need to unlock the Teleport Waypoint, which is available to anyone who has completed the Prologue of the Archon Quest in Mondstadt.
Natlan’s unique environment is shaped by its six tribes and their distinct relationship with the local Saurians, also known as dragons. These evolved creatures not only coexist with humans but also serve as their loyal companions. In this update, players will have the opportunity to explore three of these tribes and by transforming into one of three types of Saurians:
- Tepetlisaurus: These Saurians excel in tunneling underground and scaling cliffs. They are commonly found with the Children of Echoes, a tribe residing in the canyons.
- Yumkasaurus: Known for their ability to propel themselves in any direction and reach great heights, Yumkasaurus are the preferred companions of the Scions of the Canopy, who live on the steep cliff walls.
- Koholasaurus: Adapted for swift movement on water and liquid Phlogiston, Koholasaurus are seen alongside the People of the Springs, who inhabit coastal areas.
Mastering the abilities of these Saurians is crucial for navigating Natlan’s diverse landscapes, including its towering cliffs and flowing springs. The heart of Natlan’s cultural and political life is the Stadium of the Sacred Flame, where the nation’s warriors are honored and the Champion of each tribe is determined through a grand tournament. In this epic setting, the main story unfolds with the player teaming up with local warriors Kachina, Kinich, and Mualani.
To embark on Natlan’s Archon Quest, players must achieve Adventure Rank 28 or higher and complete all of Liyue’s Archon Quests.
Natlan’s Greatest Warriors
Genshin Impact’s Version 5.0 introduces three new characters reflecting their tribes’ traditions and skills.
- Kachina, a four-star Geo polearm user from the Children of Echoes, wields Turbo Twirly to scale cliffs and deal AOE damage. She is available for free upon completing Act I of Natlan’s Archon Quest.
- Kinich, a five-star Dendro warrior from the Scions of the Canopy, uses a claymore and grappling hook for precise swings and powerful Loop Shots. His companion, Ajaw, joins battles with dragon breath attacks.
- Mualani, a five-star Hydro catalyst wielder from the People of the Springs, rides her Sharky Surfboard for swift movement on water, liquid Phlogiston, and land. In combat, she marks enemies and delivers enhanced damage with Sharky’s Bite.
Each warrior offers unique benefits: Kachina restores stamina, Mualani accumulates Phlogiston, and Kinich increases movement speed, aiding party efficiency. Utilizing Phlogiston strategically and performing Phlogiston Engravings grants Natlan warriors enhanced combat capabilities through Nightsoul’s Blessing.
In the Event Wishes for Version 5.0, Mualani and Kachina debut in the first phase alongside Kaedehara Kazuha’s rerun, while Kinich appears with the Raiden Shogun in the second phase. The Tribal Chronicles quests, replacing previous Story Quests, provide a detailed look into Natlan’s lore and its people. Players can start these quests at each tribe’s “Obsidian Totem Pole,” and earn Reputation EXP and rewards by completing Bounties and Supply Notices.
Celebrating the 4th Anniversary
As the fourth anniversary of Genshin Impact approaches, rewards and bonuses will be offered to celebrate this event with fans and players during Version 5.0. The special daily login event returns with up to Intertwined Fate ×10 for players to claim, and players can check their in-game mail to receive Primogems ×1,600, two exclusive gadgets “Firstborn Firesprite” and “Kaboom Box,” as well as more bonuses. Furthermore, players can also invite a 5-star character from the Standard Wish lineup to their team for free. More updates on the Character Event Wish, Weapon Event Wish, and a new tool to redeem Artifacts with designated affixes will also arrive in the latest version.
